Insights/Skills Demand

Skills Demand Report 2026

The most frequently requested skills across 24,488 active job postings. 11,306 postings (46.2%) include parseable skills data.

Skills are extracted via deterministic text matching from job titles, departments, and descriptions. AI enrichment covers a small subset. 46.2% coverage means 54% of postings have no parseable skills — figures reflect demand among postings that do.

Methodology

Skills are extracted using deterministic pattern matching against a curated taxonomy of ~200 technology and functional skills. The matcher scans job titles, department names, and description text.

A small subset of postings (11,306 of 24,488, 46.2%) are also AI-enriched for higher precision skill extraction. Both sources are merged and deduplicated.

Percentage represents the share of skills-including postings in that role family that mention the skill. Role families with fewer than 20 skills-including postings are excluded.
