Job description

About the Company

At Flow, we’re reimagining what it means to live, work, and connect. More than just a real estate company, Flow is a brand, a technology platform, and an operations ecosystem spanning condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. We’re building a new kind of living experience: one that’s flexible, connected, and designed to create genuine community and real value for the people who call Flow home.

Our mission is oneness:  prioritizing our residents and their experiences, and fostering connection with ourselves, their neighbors, and the natural world. By putting people at the center of everything we do, we’re creating vibrant, human-centered communities where life, work, creativity, and play all come together in one place.

About the Role

Flow is seeking a Head of Corporate IT to lead the technology experience for Flow's global, growing workforce. This leader owns corporate IT strategy and operations end to end: employee support, identity and access, devices and asset management, collaboration platforms, corporate applications, workplace technology, vendors, and the Corporate IT budget.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role — a builder and player-coach who has operated in a high-growth environment and knows how to balance security and policy with speed, simplicity, and productivity. You will lead and develop the Corporate IT team while staying close enough to the work to step into complex escalations, critical incidents, and system design yourself. You will build an organization that responds with urgency while proactively eliminating recurring friction through automation, self-service, strong processes, and thoughtful technology choices.

Flow is advanced in its use of AI, and enterprise AI enablement is a core pillar of this role: you will own the governance, access, and vendor management of Flow's AI tool ecosystem and help the organization evaluate, deploy, and scale tools that improve productivity and business performance.

The Head of Corporate IT works closely alongside Flow's Property IT organization. Corporate IT owns the technology used by Flow team members and corporate workplaces; Property IT owns the technology and infrastructure delivered to our communities. The two groups partner on shared standards, security, vendors, openings, integrations, and incidents that cross both environments.

We believe our team is better together. Every position at Flow has an onsite or in-office requirement.

Outcomes

  • Exceptional employee experience: Team members have reliable technology, responsive support, and the access and equipment they need to be productive from day one.

  • Scalable and proactive operations: Corporate IT supports Flow's continued growth while reducing recurring issues through automation, self-service, documentation, and root-cause problem solving.

  • Secure, well-managed technology: Flow maintains strong controls over identities, devices, applications, assets, vendors, and data without creating unnecessary friction for employees.

  • Responsible technology enablement: New technologies, including AI-enabled tools, are centrally governed, responsibly deployed, effectively adopted, and tied to measurable business value.

  • Financial discipline: IT spend is visible, budgeted, and optimized — no surprise renewals, no license waste, no untracked cloud cost growth.

  • Responsibilities

    Strategy, Budget & Financial Operations

  • Develop and execute Flow's Corporate IT strategy, roadmap, operating model, and budget in support of company growth.

  • Build and maintain the annual Corporate IT budget — tracking spend by category (hardware, software/SaaS, professional services, telecom, cloud) — and flag variances early.

  • Own the SaaS renewal calendar: surface renewals well in advance, flag price increases, and recommend renegotiation or replacement where warranted.

  • Support Finance on audit requests, spend reconciliation, and cost reporting.

  • Employee Experience & IT Operations

  • Lead global employee IT support, balancing responsive issue resolution with proactive service improvement and problem prevention; serve as the escalation point for the most complex issues.

  • Own the employee technology lifecycle: onboarding, role changes, offboarding, identity and access, equipment deployment, maintenance, refresh, recovery, and secure disposal.

  • Establish clear service levels, metrics, escalation paths, incident processes, and communications for Corporate IT.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of corporate devices, applications, licenses, owners, contracts, and renewal dates.

  • Own virtual global communication technology (e.g., town halls), delivering high-quality, resilient solutions that keep team members connected and informed.

  • Identity, Access & Security

  • Own the architecture and governance of identity systems — SSO/SAML configuration, app provisioning, Google Workspace organizational structure and admin policy, RBAC, access tiers, and least-privilege design.

  • Own identity governance: periodic access reviews, privilege audits, and lifecycle policy enforcement — the team executes day-to-day provisioning against your standards.

  • Partner with Security to protect Flow's corporate technology environment: secure configurations, endpoint standards, patching, monitoring, incident response, employee education, and practical risk-based policies.

  • Develop and enforce policies covering acceptable use, endpoint standards, AI usage, and data protection — practical, enforceable, and right-sized for Flow's scale.

  • Enterprise AI Enablement

  • Own governance of Flow's enterprise AI tool ecosystem — LLM platforms, AI-assisted developer environments, and internally built AI-powered tools: vendor relationships, licensing, access control, and secure configuration.

  • Establish org-wide best practices for safe AI adoption; monitor usage for compliance, privacy, and data-protection risk.

  • Lead evaluation and rollout of new AI and automation tools in partnership with Security, Legal, Finance, People, Product, Engineering, and Data; stay current on the landscape and bring adoption recommendations to leadership.

  • Automation & Self-Service

  • Improve employee productivity by automating recurring IT workflows, expanding self-service, and simplifying how team members request technology and support.

  • Design — and where needed, build — automation for user provisioning and access requests, monitoring and alerting, and IT spend reporting and operational dashboards for leadership.

  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Corporate IT team; determine the right mix of internal talent, managed service providers, and specialist partners.

  • Serve as senior technical mentor to IT support staff — technical guidance, escalation support, professional development.

  • Own documentation standards: runbooks, SOPs, and system inventories that are complete, accurate, and maintained.

  • Partner with Property IT to define ownership, coordinate shared systems and vendors, support new openings, and manage incidents or projects that span corporate and community technology.

  • Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading Corporate IT, IT Operations, Digital Workplace, or Enterprise Technology — including building and scaling IT in a high-growth, distributed, or global organization.

  • Deep knowledge of modern identity and access management — SSO, SAML, RBAC, Google Workspace administration — and endpoint/MDM policy design (Jamf, Addigy, JumpCloud, or equivalent).

  • Direct experience governing enterprise AI tools at an organizational level — access control, usage monitoring, vendor management, and policy enforcement.

  • Strong understanding of corporate security fundamentals: identity and access, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, third-party risk, and incident response.

  • Experience managing technology vendors, enterprise agreements, budgets, renewals, and software-license utilization; comfortable with Finance-facing reporting.

  • Experience using automation, integrations, self-service, or AI to improve IT operations and employee productivity — with the technical depth to architect and direct the work personally.

  • Demonstrated success improving employee onboarding, support quality, equipment lifecycle management, and technology reliability.

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technology priorities, investments, policies, and execution plans; strong communication across technical, operational, and executive audiences.

  • A pragmatic, player-coach leadership style that balances security, consistency, employee experience, cost, and business velocity — willing to step into operational details or critical incidents when needed.

  • Strong alignment with Flow's values: Grow, Ship Now, Act Like an Owner, and Relentlessly High Standards.

  • Preferred Experience

  • Hospitality, multifamily, retail, coworking, or another business with both corporate and distributed property or site technology.

  • Supporting employees, equipment, and vendors across multiple countries and time zones.

  • Hands-on scripting or development ability (Python or equivalent) — building or maintaining internal automation, integrations, or AI-powered tools.

  • Cloud platform experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and cloud cost management / FinOps practices.

  • ITSM platform administration (Freshservice, Jira Service Management, or equivalent); UCaaS/VoIP platforms (Zoom Phone, RingCentral, or equivalent).

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

  • Why Join Flow?

  • Define and scale the corporate technology foundation for a growing global organization.

  • Help shape how Flow uses AI, automation, and emerging technologies across the company.

  • Work at the intersection of technology, hospitality, real estate, workplace experience, and community operations.

  • Improve the everyday experience of every Flow team member.

  • Build the systems, team, partnerships, and standards that will support Flow's next stage of growth.
