Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, including management accounts, regulatory filings, and tax submissions.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to enable strategic decision-making.
Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, including those from the Central Bank of Brazil, The Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) and other relevant authorities.
Act as the company’s statutory representative before the Central Bank of Brazil (UNICAD), CVM and other authorities as applicable in relation to the relevant functions and responsibilities.
Assist with external audits, regulatory inspections, and internal reviews.
Monitor financial risks and contribute to the implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies.
Track and manage liquidity, capital adequacy, and cost controls as per internal policies and external requirements.
Support capital management procedures, including capital adequacy assessment and ensuring capital requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial alignment with operational goals.
Support the implementation of new financial systems, tools, and process improvements.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders as required.
Support of the Group finance initiatives in other jurisdictions, such as LATAM and other regions, where required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
10 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or audit.
Minimum 2 to 3 years in a finance role within a financial services company, preferably in capital markets and securities brokerage. Previous experience of acting as a statutory director/officer is preferable.
Familiarity with the Central Bank of Brazil and CVM regulations, meeting “Fit & Proper” criteria.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, capital markets operations, and regulatory financial frameworks.
Proficient in financial software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Ethical, accountable, and professional, with a strong sense of ownership.
Business-level English proficiency (B2 level or above according to CEFR).
