HR Operations Lead (9-month fixed-term contract )

Your Role

We’re hiring an HR Operations Lead on a nine-month fixed-term contract to provide advisory, guidance and operational support for our day-to-day HR operations across EMEA. You can work from either Spain or the U.K. If you prefer an office environment or a hybrid setup, you're welcome to work out of our Barcelona or London offices.

In this role, you’ll partner cross-functionally with our Payroll, Legal and People teams to build and maintain scalable processes across the entire employee lifecycle. You’ll make sure we comply with local regulations while helping our teams win together by keeping our workflows smooth and reliable.

As an HR Operations Lead, you’ll:

• Advise and support. You’ll provide guidance on health and safety policies, benefits, time off, leave administration, payroll and immigration workflows.
• Manage the employee lifecycle. You’ll deliver technical guidance on key processes like onboarding, terminations, employment agreements and intracompany relocations.
• Design scalable processes. You’ll partner with the team to build and update standard operating procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple European countries while helping to manage risk.
• Lead and collaborate. You’ll provide operational leadership and mentorship to the team, working closely with internal departments to solve complex issues and build a culture of trust.

Must-Haves

• Experienced. You have seven or more years of progressive HR operations experience, including multi-country European employment compliance, payroll, benefits and leave administration.
• EMEA focused. You have proven experience navigating HR compliance and deep technical knowledge of operations in EMEA, specifically within the U.K. and Spain.
• A process builder. You have a demonstrated ability to design, implement and continuously improve scalable HR processes and standard operating procedures.
• A strong communicator. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an audit-oriented mindset and the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance.

Nice-to-Haves

• Certified. You hold a CIPD, PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent European HR certification.
• Educated. You have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Our Role

• Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
• Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
• Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
• Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
• Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
