Security Sales Specialist

An AHEAD Security Sales Specialist will focus on cultivating business in commercial to enterprise markets, across various business verticals, potentially including but not limited to, Healthcare, Financial, Legal, Manufacturing, SLED, and Retail.

The candidate must possess the ability to both create new opportunities in new accounts and develop opportunities within existing accounts. This is a collaborative role working closely with core Client Directors, account teams, delivery teams and our ecosystem of partners. Key aspects of this role include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a solution centric services driven sales strategy focused on the Security product & services portfolio

  • Identify new business opportunities within net new and existing install base accounts and move those opportunities through the pipeline to closure.

  • Communicate the AHEAD Security GTM Strategy 

  • Establish and maintain strong key vendor and partner relationships

  • Clearly understand client business challenges and the solution requirements.

  • Perform and conduct business as a team with engineers, core sales group and other sales specialty groups to design and configure appropriate solution(s) 

  • Establish and grow relationships with Security stakeholders in the accounts

  • Own the security sales campaigns in entirety and partnering with the Core rep for strategy as needed

  • End-to-end opportunity workflow and progression including pipeline creation, forecasting, and managing opportunities utilizing internal tools, such as CRM (Salesforce), Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Navigate account plans, proposals and opportunities through the procurement process. 

  • Ensure successful deployment of solutions that deliver desired client outcomes and requirements. 

  • Generate incremental margin in security sales for the territory each year according to the ramp schedule for the territory

  • Travel within a specified territory

  • Recruit candidates that characterize the AHEAD culture  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM (Salesforce) or related software. Experience producing new business, negotiating deals, and maintaining healthy C-Level relationships

  • Experience achieving sales targets

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills, a proven storyteller

  • The ability to understand the "bigger picture" and convey DGS GTM strategies

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience within security OR solutions sales organization

  • Understanding the solutions, problems they solve, go-to market of Palo Alto, Crowdstrike, Sentinel One, Zscaler, Fortinet, Microsoft Security, Cisco Security and other emerging security centric OEM vendors.

  • Have knowledge of the macro Cybersecurity market, challenges faced by customers, solutions available in the market (both AHEAD services and OEM) and be able to identify gaps in clients strategy to map those solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Required – High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree
