New Verticals launched in 2020 to take the DoorDash marketplace beyond restaurants: it now spans 100,000+ grocery, convenience, alcohol, retail, and DashMart stores and has made DoorDash the #1 third-party marketplace for grocery and retail in the US.
Within New Verticals, the Consumer Strategy & Operations team focuses on building consumer growth levers through many different outlets. The Pricing & Affordability team is redefining what value means in delivery. Our mission is to make DoorDash the smartest, most affordable place to shop. The pricing, fee, and savings systems we build are a big part of why customers choose DoorDash and stay. We're building toward a future where every customer feels DoorDash is worth it on every order. Getting there takes sharp, quantitative thinking about how we price and where we invest.
As an Associate Manager, you'll be the core owner behind how we approach consumer strategy using pricing as a growth lever, with a deep focus on fee structure and affordability. You will spend your days understanding our end to end financials by looking at the ins and outs of our P&L, order data and pricing data to drive changes to how we make DoorDash more affordable for our consumers. You’ll work closely with Finance, Analytics, and Product in forecasting consumer and financial impacts, building pricing models, design A/B tests, and launching new fee structures. It's a high-visibility seat at the intersection of strategy, operations, and finance - your analyses will inform decisions that reach millions of customers.
The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. This is an individual contributor role reporting into a Senior Manager on the New Verticals Affordability team within the broader New Verticals Consumer organization.

We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.
DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.
